Beginners Throwing Class

In this intimate 6 - 1 teacher - student setting
we'll work closely to take your skills to the next level!

There is nothing like the feeling of mud between your fingers and the power to create something with it.

You can expect a real learning experience!

Each lesson will give you a demonstration and plenty of studio time. No need to buy tools or clay. It's all included!

We will instruct you on the type of clay you'll be using and how to cut and wedge it for the wheel.

We will demonstrate the wheel-throwing process: centering, opening, raising, shaping, and removing a pottery vessel from a wheel.

You will practice what you learn on your own wheels.

We will learn how to trim the excess clay (weight) off of them,  and will try our hand at a few decorating tricks before firing them for the glazing process.

We will learn how to glaze and you will take your beautiful creations home.

  • Limited to 6 people per class.

  • 5 classes per course

  • Classes, tools, glaze and clay included with cost
